Author
I wrote, created and self-published Memoirs of a WAAF, in 2015.
Introduction
The book is about daily life in the WAAF in 1942, created from diaries that my dear late Mum, Daphne Dangerfield, wrote, every day, in secret, while stationed at Bradwell Bay in Essex, during World War 2.

My Background
I’ve always enjoyed art and painting, which comes from my Mum’s side of the family (her father was an artist and architect). She was always quite modest about her work, but she sold quite a lot of her paintings in her time (watercolours and oils). I fondly remember the smell of oil paints, turps and varnish (I can smell it now!) when she was painting at home.
